Habitat For Humanity Build

Habitat For Humanity - Brotherhood of St. Andrew - Dallas TXIt was a lovely, cool morning for the Brotherhood/Diocesan 2011 Habitat Build with Holy Nativity participating. Hard working crews, including youth, from Holy Nativity Plano and Good Shepherd had the landscaping finished by lunchtime. By the end of the day, the second coat of paint made the new home of Angela and her family sparkle. Many thanks to the Brotherhood Chapter at St. Michael & All Angels for providing lunches for everybody. Sub-contractors will complete the interior work and the house will be ready for the Dedication on November 12.

Beginning in 1996, the Diocesan Habitat Ministry has been a wonderful journey. Men, women and youth from parishes throughout the Diocese have shared their time, talent and treasure, by contributing funds and devoting their Saturdays each Fall to demonstrating faith in action.

Partnering with Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity, distressed and once neglected neighborhoods in our community are being rejuvenated, and hard-working, deserving families, having provided 400 hours of “sweat-equity” are able to purchase quality, affordable homes.

Plan to attend the Dedication of the new home of Angela and her family, 10:30 am, Saturday, November 12th at 4046 Baldwin in Dallas.

Going forward, in 2012 the Dallas Assembly of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew will be embarking upon new projects, continuing its ministry of bringing men and boys into a more personal relationship with Christ through the disciplines of Prayer, Study and Service.
