Christian Education
Education for all is part of the ongoing life of Holy Nativity Parish. We believe
that learning is an everyday task and opportunity in each Christian's life.
The center of our educational program is the time between the two worship services on
Sunday morning. Adults gather in a large group for a varied ongoing forum. Topics can
include specific Bible studies or basics of Faith and Practice, reflections on current
issues, and reading together some great Christian writings.
Children gather in traditional Sunday School classes on Sunday mornings. Over a period
of years the Bible and the Faith are explored and learned at every level. Young people in
grades 7-12 have a program that includes both Sunday morning classes and Sunday evening
Youth Group fellowship that builds on the morning lessons. Our nursery is bright and large
and staffed by childcare professionals.
Beyond Sunday morning, there are weekly Bible Studies, periodic Inquirer's Classes for
those considering Church membership, and occasional other classes for specific interests.
We also understand our stewardship program to be a part of Christian education.
Coupled with regular times of prayer and worship, we believe that lifelong education
equips us for lifelong mission. We invite you to join in that mission. |
