Dear
Brothers and Sisters,
Thank you for visiting the Church of the
Holy Nativity website. If you are looking for a traditional
Anglo-catholic Episcopal Church to attend while visiting the area,
or seeking an enthusiastically orthodox Church to call home,
this site serves both as an introduction and an invitation to
Holy Nativity Church, in the eastern part of Plano, Texas.
At Holy Nativity, we strive to be a people who mean what we say.
And in our traditional Anglican worship, we say quite a bit. Every
Sunday, we say the Nicene Creed, aligning ourselves with the faith
of the Apostles. We say the general confession, admitting that we
are sinful and in need of a Savior. And we celebrate the Eucharist,
receiving the sacrifice that Jesus our Lord and Savior made to
redeem us from our sin. Then we return to the world attempting to
live in accordance with His truths to which
we have assented.
The last thing is the hardest. We need all the help of the
Holy Spirit even to attempt it. But it is in honoring God together
in community that our lives find meaning, order, and purpose. It is
the support of each other in our community in Christ that enables us
to have the strength to standfast in our faith.
Our community of believers is for those who think that Christianity
is truly an everyday way of living. It is for those who seek to make
Jesus Christ and his Church the center of their lives. It is for those
who truly believe that Jesus changes lives … for the better.
If that is you, we would love for you to join us in worship and ministry,
to the glory of His Holy Name.
In Christ,
Fr. Garrin Dickinson +
It is our hope that the pictures and words of this website
show you a bit of who we are. Take our virtual tour of Holy Nativity facilities and have a
quick look inside. We invite you to visit and walk with us as we follow Jesus.
