The Center of Our Life
Worship is the heart of our common life at Holy Nativity.Sunday by Sunday we gather
around the lord's Table to share the Sacrament of the Eucharist, using the rich traditions
of the Anglican Book of Common Prayer. Scripture is always emphasized. At an early
Service, all is spoken; at the later Family Service, the organ plays and our choir leads
us in majestic and powerful music in praise of Almighty God.
Every hour of every day, our chapel is open. It is a place of quiet prayer and
strength, a place where God is especially present for us. Holy Communion is celebrated at
least three times a week in the chapel. The healing and reconciling Sacraments of Holy
Unction and Confession are available to the faithful on request. Baptisms take place as
part of the Sunday Liturgy.
We proclaim that Jesus loves us and that we love Him by putting prayer first in our
parish life. We pray as a large group in worship. We pray as individuals and small groups
holding before the Lord the special needs of the parish and her members as well as our
communities and the world. Special seasons of the Church Year add special Services of
Devotion. Our times of fellowship and outreach are empowered by the worship we have
shared. The psalmist says: " O Taste and see how gracious the Lord is." We
invite you to join us in doing just that in the worship of God at Holy Nativity Church. |
