Our Worship
Our worship at Holy Nativity is both liturgical and sacramental. At its core this means we believe God acts through his physical creation. We believe that God created all of material creation and called it good. We also believe that God became a material human being in Jesus Christ, who rose from the dead in a material body and ascended into Heaven in that same body. Because salvation is not an escape from the material world, we believe God works through it to give us grace. We also therefore worship God with our whole bodies, and thus engage in material acts of worship such as using incense like in the Old Testament, and making the sign of the cross.
